Today, Canada will become the second country in the world to legalize cannabis (Uruguay legalized it in 2013), following 90 years of prohibition. To celebrate the legalization of cannabis, we pulled results from our Fall RTS survey of over 40,000 Canadians aged 12+.
Highlights:
- Only 33% of adults agree that it should be legalized (this is pretty consistent with the last three surveys as well).
- Atlantic Canada is most likely to agree with legalization
- Canadians 65+ are more likely to support legalization than teens
- Those that are more likely to strongly agree are also more likely to drive a sports car and listen to podcasts
