W Network is the home of Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas in Canada. This year the holiday cheer kicked off on October 18th at 8pm when an average of 274,000 Canadians settled down to watch Twas the Date Before Christmas. It’s been nonstop festive fun ever since!
Using InstarTV we’ve taken a quick peek at the viewing data to see how the lineup is performing so far.
1. By December 9th W Network has aired an impressive 250 different Holiday-themed movies including 41 new movies for this year.
2. In the week commencing November 11th, W Network was boasting the highest average audience (Ind2+) among all the Anglo specialty stations in Anglo Canada.
3. Holiday Touchdown: A Chief’s Love Story, inspired by the real-life love romance between Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce premiered on Thanksgiving weekend with the first showing reaching an audience of just over 1m Ind2+.
4. Since the holiday movies launched in mid-October they have featured in the top 10 specialty shows for 4 of the 7 weeks so far.
5. Last year Hallmark Channels Countdown to Christmas on W Network reached almost 10 million Canadians. We're already at 8.3 million this year, with three more weeks of holiday magic to go!
